Biking Expeditions around Ohakune

With the skiing and the cold weather over for the year it is time to dust off your mountain bikes and hit the tracks around Ohakune.

There are many fantastic options including ;

-        The Old Coach Road (close to town)

-        Bridge To Nowhere (awesome daytrip starting at Ruatiti and down to Wanganui River and extraction by jetboat to Pipiriki)

-        42nd Traverse (46km starts near turnoff to Tongariro Crossing and finishing at Owhango)

-        Mountains to the Sea (epic 200km and 3-7 days starting at Turoa Skifield and finishing in Wanganui)

-        Fisher Track near National Park

-        Ohakune Mountain Road (17km ride from the Turoa skifield down to Ohakune)

Come for the week to do the whole list or the weekend to do a few. They are options suitable for all age groups.
